Mr. R’s PARENT ONLY Parent/Teacher Conferences will be this Friday, May 17th via Zoom. No School on conference day for Mr. R’s Class; daycare for students with AM and/or PM care in their program. Mr. R has sent an email regarding online signups.

IMPORTANT – Parent/Teacher Conference Guidelines:

  • Children may not attend the parent teacher conference. The teacher reserves the right to cancel a conference if your child is present.
  • Information that your teacher shares with you about your child should not be shared with your child.
  • Please contact the office if you have any questions about the conference guidelines.

Field trip on the last day of school (May 24th) – Ms. April, Ms. Corie, Mrs. Corn, Ms. Lori and Mrs. Theriac classes. All children need to be at Montessori by 8:45 and wearing their Montessori t-shirts. Parent volunteers needed, email Kristi at kgaultmontessori@gmail.com.

Last Day of School Dismissal (May 24th) – Preprimary Classes will dismiss at 11:45 and Mr. R’s Class will dismiss at 12:15. If your child has PM care in his/her program, lunch/daycare will start at 11:45.

Last Day of School Survey – (PM care families only)

  • Attached is the Last Day of School Survey (a copy went home in your child’s bag).
  • We need all families with PM care only to fill the survey out and return it at drop off/pick up or email back your response. Thanks!

Montessori will be totally closed, no school or daycare, Memorial Day Week: May 27th– May 31st.

We are no longer accepting Play DVD/Digital Recording orders.  

Standardized testing for Mr. R’s Class has begun and will last through Tuesday, May 14th.
Mr. R’s Class Planet Walk is on Friday, May 10th.

  • Children should wear comfortable walking shoes and clothes appropriate for the weather.
  • Children will need to bring a totally disposable lunch for the field trip. No lunchboxes, thermoses, etc. that would need to be returned home.
  • Elementary parents are welcome and can ride the bus OR meet the class at the French Island Trail.
    • Parents should park their cars in the medical building parking lot near Montessori if riding the bus.

  • The program will be available for any student who is enrolled in the current PrePrimary school year, including Kindergarteners.

  • We will have a chart of where your child will be standing on the stage to help you choose the seat that is right for your family.
  • If a child cannot sit comfortably in your lap for two hours, they will need their own seat/ticket. The play is geared for elementary age children and up.
  • We do not recommend bringing infants or toddlers due to the confines of the seating, the difficulty getting in/out and the length of the program. We record the program for later DVD sales. Crying children make it difficult for those around you to hear and record over.

Play Picture Order forms went home last week and are due back, with payment, by your child’s picture day. We will be taking pictures of each child in his/her costume next week. This is not a fundraiser, but an opportunity for you to have your child’s picture in costume. The night of the play, there usually is not an ideal time to get a picture with a good view of your child.

  • If you would like to put a short personal ad to your child in the program, the cost is $3.00 per ad, limited to 100 characters including spaces. Forms are available in the office. We’ll be gathering ads until Wednesday, April 3rd.
    • Ad example: Tommy Jones- we love watching you perform! You make a terrific Viking! Have fun! Love, Mom, Dad … Love, Nana and Grandad.

Play Program Ads- 

  • If you are interested in helping to underwrite the cost of the play by placing an ad, please let Kristi know. We’ll be gathering ads until Wednesday, April 3rd.
    • $75 for black and white ½ page ad- 5½ x 4¼
    • $125 for black and white full-page ad- 5½ x 8½
    • $150 for black and white or color full page ad on the inside back, outside back or center page of the program.

Night School will be Tuesday, March 5thNight School is the opportunity for you to see what your child does each day at school. Your child, with the guidance of the teacher, will have selected a sample of works they want to demonstrate for you the evening of Night School.
