New Playground –

Construction on our new playground will begin Monday, February 26th and last approximately 3 weeks. Classes will utilize our other outdoor play areas and/or have classroom playtime.

The Montessoirée has helped to raise money for this project. Come to Saturday’s fundraising event to see the construction company, Wilde Horticulture, give a presentation on our new playground!

Sugar Bush Social – In the past, the Elementary class hosted a Sugar Bush Social with a little help from our families. If you have a maple tree(s) in your yard and are willing to “tap” the sap, we can provide the tubes, jug(s) and simple instructions…just let us know by responding to this email!

This will begin to happen over the next couple weeks.

Hot Chocolate Sale!

Tomorrow, December 14th, The Elementary Class will be selling Hot Chocolate to help those effected by the recent tornados in Tennessee.

  • Where: West parking lot.
  • When: Thursday, December 14th from 3:00-4:30.
  • Cost: $1.00 per cup.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Re-enrollment 24-25 contracts are due today Wednesday, December 13th.

  • If you are re-enrolling, return the signed contract with the $100.00 registration fee (per child).
  • If you are not re-enrolling, fill in your child’s name and initial the upper right-hand corner and return to school.
  • Current Kindergarteners and Mr. R’s Third graders will not need to return any paperwork.

Re-enrollment 24-25 contracts are going home today in your child’s bag and are due back on or before Wednesday, December 13th.

  • If you are re-enrolling, return the signed contract with the $100.00 registration fee (per child).
  • If you are not re-enrolling, fill in your child’s name and initial the upper right-hand corner and return to school.
  • Current Kindergarteners and Mr. R’s Third graders will not need to return any paperwork.

Winter Break Surveys – (Only families with AM and/or PM care)

  • All families with AM and/or PM care in their child’s program, please fill out and return on or before Wednesday, December 13th

Holiday Carols at Hamilton Pointe – Tuesday, December 12th at 10:30 AM.

  • The elementary and kindergarten students will be visiting Hamilton Pointe Nursing Home to sing holiday carols to the residents.

No School Monday, December 18th through Tuesday, January 2nd.

Holiday Daycare Days – Students who have AM and/or PM care in their program may attend their regular hours for daycare activities on these days:

  • Monday, December 18th through Friday, December 22nd.
  • Wednesday, December 27th through Friday, December 29th.
  • Tuesday, January 2nd.

The building will be totally closed on: Monday, December 25th, Tuesday, December 26th and Monday, January 1st.

Holiday Family Cards: If you send out holiday family pictures/cards, we would love to have one. You can mail it or hand it to a staff member at drop off/pick up. We love to hear from past families as well as current families!

A few reminders –

If your child has a fever, is vomiting and/or has diarrhea, they must stay home for 24 hours from their last symptom; even if this happened over the weekend.

Sending things to school via Montessori bag – If you are sending an item in the Montessori bag, please let us know via email.  We do not regularly check the children’s bags.
