Congratulations to Ms. Corie and Family!! Her baby girl, Riley, was born last Friday and all are doing well. Look for her return in the new year!
8th Annual Day of the Dead Celebration – Come celebrate with us!

Daylight Savings ends this Sunday, November 3rd. The time will fall back 1 hour Sunday morning.
Friday, November 8th and Monday, November 11th are Daycare Days –
No School Friday, November 8th – All classes Parent/Teacher Conferences (except Ms. Corie’s). Look for an email from your child’s teacher regarding how to sign up for this in person conference.
No School Monday, November 11th in observance of Veteran’s Day.
• If your child has AM and/or PM care in their program, they may attend their regular hours for daycare activities.
• Reminder – there will be no car lines for drop offs or pickups on daycare days.
PTO Meeting: Wednesday, November 13th –
• Transition to Traditional School.
• Why Montessori Kindergarten OR What You Want to Know About the Montessori Elementary Class.
-The meeting consists of two parts. Come for one or both!
Part I – 5:45-6:15 Transition to Traditional School.
A panel of past families talk about their transition and what they want you to know.
Part II – 6:20-6:50 Why Montessori Kindergarten OR What You Want to Know About the Montessori Elementary Class. You would attend one or the other.
• Babysitting for Montessori children and their siblings begins at 5:30 and ends at 6:55. Drop off and pickup will be in the dining room. Click on the link to signup:
• Spots are limited to the first 50 children signed up.
• Pizza will be served to the children.

Friday, November 15th – Ms. Corie, Ms. Lori & Mr. R (Elementary)
• Forms went home in your child’s bag today.
• Forms with payment are due back before or on your child’s picture day.
• Make-up photos will be on these days as well (Nov. 14th and 15th).

Car Line Etiquette –
• Please drive slowly & responsibly when entering, driving around other cars in line & exiting the car line.
• Driving carefully around cars waiting for a child is permitted.
• Please remember to stay in your car when dropping & picking up your child.
• Please be patient while staff members are helping children exit & enter their car.
• Please don’t use the gravel area by the storage units to turn around.
Arriving on time to school – Please arrive before 8:45
• All preprimary classes are outside at 8:45, at different locations.
• The office staff is not always available to answer the front door when we are getting children, who arrive late, to their correct outdoor play area.
Please follow these rules for PM Care pick up inside the school:
• Parents should make sure their child walks while in the building after picking them up.
• Remind child to use a quiet voice.
• These are the rules of the classroom and they should be followed at all times when in the building.

• When: This Friday, October 18th.
• Time: 5:30-7:30 PM.
• Who: Current Montessori families, including siblings.
• Food/drink: Pizza and beverages.
• Wear: Costumes (no weapons please, even if they are a part of a costume).
• Cost: $0! Hosted by The Montessori PTO!

Preprimary Field Trip –
Tuesday, October 22nd –
All of Ms. Corie’s & Mrs. Theriac’s Classes.

Wednesday, October 23rd –
All of Ms. April’s & Mrs. Corn’s Classes.

• Parent volunteers are not needed.
• Sunscreen should be applied prior to arriving at school.
• Students should wear their Montessori t-shirt and shoes with a closed back. No sandals or flip flops.
Car line on Field Trip Days –
• Car line at 8:00 AM only for families whose children are attending the field trip that day.
• Children going on the field trip need to be in the building no later than 8:15 AM.
• Siblings can be dropped off at the same time.
• Children will return to the building at 11:30 AM.
• Regular 8:20 car line for children not going on the field trip.
Book Fair –
• Monday, Oct. 21st – Friday, Oct. 25th
• Book Fair hours:
o 11:45-12:15 ONLY for half day students wanting to visit after dismissal.
o 3:00-5:00 for the rest of the students.
o Children may not be pulled out of class time to attend the book fair.
• Located in the Multipurpose Room.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult and can only attend during the above-mentioned hours.

Grocery Bag Donations – The office is need of your plastic grocery bags. These can be handed off to staff members at drop off/pick up. Thank you!
