Thank you to The Bland Family and The Beydoun Family for staff treats this week!
International Peace Day is Saturday, September 21st – We will be observing it this Friday, September 20th. In previous years, we have participated in the world-wide continuous singing of the peace song.
• The children’s performance will start at 11:00 AM.
• We’ll be singing as a school in our back field for 10-15 minutes.
• Parents are welcome to come and watch outside of the dining room door (back patio area).
• Parents of Half-Day students need to let the office know if they want to pick their child up early.
There will not be a time for children and parents to meet before, during or after the singing.
If you are coming that morning, please let your child know that you will be there to watch, but will not be picking up at that time. There have been a few tears in the past due to this possible misunderstanding.
PTO will be hosting a Meet & Greet Coffee and Donuts from 10:00-10:50 in the multi-purpose room.
Arriving on time to school – Please arrive before 8:45
• All preprimary classes are outside at 8:45, at different locations.
• The office staff is not always available to answer the front door when we are getting children, who arrive late, to their correct outdoor play area.

EZ School lunch reminder – On the 15th of every month, you can sign up for the upcoming months lunches. Please remember to:
• Sign up for September’s lunches.
• Select the “lunchbox” option on EZSchool if your child brings a lunchbox.
AM Care drop off reminder –
• Ends at 8:15.
• If arriving after 8:15, please wait in the car line.
PM Care pick ups –
• Please supervise children on the front lawn after PM care pick up.
• Children should not play in the landscaped areas, behind bushes, etc.
Sunscreen and/or Bug Spray should already be applied to your child before dropping off in the morning.
Sunscreens, lotions, creams, over the counter medicine, chap stick, prescription medicine –
The protocol will be to send us an email before you drop your child off in the AM. Then, hand the item to the staff person upon dropping off. Sarah and I typically read our email before 8:20 drop off or immediately after.
The email needs to tell us:
• Name of the item
• How much to use
• What time to give or apply
• If it needs to return home each day (i.e.) prescription medications
For example: Sunscreen, apply to face/arms/legs before going outside. Or, chapstick, use as needed.
Send your email to: kgaultmontessori@gmail.com, sarahspelbring@gmail.com and the child’s teacher. This will ensure the item(s) are retrieved ASAP.
Sending things to school via Montessori bag – If you are sending an above-mentioned item in the Montessori bag, please let us know via email. We do not regularly check the children’s bags.
