Montessoirée 2023 – PTO’s Annual Fundraiser

• The event will take place this Saturday, February 25^th 2023 at 5:30 PM.

What kind of things are auctioned?

New live and silent auction items are arriving daily! Here are a few items!

Live Auction:

• Ford Center- 4 suite club tickets w/dinner to see Luke Bryan on August 25^th.
• CenterPoint Suite w/ 20 Thunderbolt tickets including 2 riders on the Zamboni during intermission and 40 chuck a pucks for the second intermission.

Silent Auction:

• Famous classroom quilts
• Evansville Zoo membership
• Indianapolis Zoo tickets
• Wine & spirits
• Local gift cards
• Sports memorabilia

Night School will be next Thursday, March 2^nd – Night School is the opportunity for you to see what your child does each day at school. Your child (with the guidance of the teacher) will have selected a sample of works they want to demonstrate for you the evening of Night School.

• There will be two sessions: 5:30-6:15 or 6:30-7:15.
• Up to two adults per family.
• Montessori siblings should be signed up for the same session.
• Space is extremely limited so we cannot include siblings, friends, grandparents, etc.

A reminder:

If your child has a fever, is vomiting and/or has diarrhea, they must stay home for 48 hours from their last symptom; even if this happened over the weekend.

EZ School lunch – Due to the school closure on Tuesday, the lunch choices for that day have not been charged any fees. Please call the office if you have any questions.

Grocery Bag Donations – The office is in need of your plastic grocery bags. These can be handed off to staff members at drop off/pick up. Thank you!

Montessori Borrowed Clothes – Please remember to return washed Montessori borrowed clothing in a timely manner.

Valentine Cards Guidelines/Reminder – We’ll be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Tuesday, February 14^th.

• R’s class has a different set of guidelines. Please check his blog for details.
• If the cards come with a sticker, tattoo or pencil that is fine, but please do not send any type of candy or additional items for the class.
• A card needs to be sent for each student in the class.

(Ms. April 18, Ms. Corie 21, Mrs. Corn 19, Ms. Lori 23, Mrs. Theriac 21).

• Your child’s name should be written in the “From” place, but do not address them to individual students.
• Send an email to your child’s teacher or to the office when sending cards in with your child. Feel free to send them in early.

No School Monday, February 20^th 2023. Students who have AM and/or PM care in their program may attend their regular hours for daycare activities. Reminder – there will be no car lines for drop offs or pickups on daycare days.

Sugar Bush Social – In the past, the Elementary class hosted a Sugar Bush Social with a little help from our families. If you have a maple tree(s) in your yard and are willing to “tap” the sap, we can provide the tubes, jug(s) and simple instructions…just let us know by responding to this email!

This will begin to happen over the next couple of weeks. More info to come.

Re-enrollment contracts are going home today in your child’s bag and are due back on or before Wednesday, December 14^th.

• If you are re-enrolling, return the signed contract with the $100.00 registration fee (per child).
• If you are not re-enrolling, fill in your child’s name and initial the upper right-hand corner and return to school.
• Current Kindergarteners and Mr. R’s third graders will not need to return any paperwork.

Winter Break Surveys – (Only families with AM and/or PM care)

• All families with AM and/or PM care, please fill out and return on or before Wednesday, December 14^th.

No School Monday, December 19^th through Monday, January 2^nd.

            Holiday Daycare Days – Students who have AM and/or PM care in their program may attend their regular hours for daycare activities on these days:

• Monday, December 19^th through Friday, December 23^rd.
• Tuesday, December 27^th through Friday, December 30^th.
• Monday, January 2^nd.

The building will be totally closed on:

• Monday, December 26^th.

Holiday Family Cards: If you send out holiday family pictures/cards, we would love to have one. You can mail it or hand it to a staff member at drop off/pick up. We love to hear from past families as well as current families!

• The building will not be open for school or daycare Thursday, November 24^th or Friday, November 25^th.
