Things to look for in May –

Mr. R’s Parent/Teacher Conferences will be Friday, May 20th. No School on conference day for Mr. R’s class, daycare for students with AM and/or PM care in their program. Mr. R will send an email regarding online signups.

Parent/Teacher Conferences for all of the Preprimary classes (Ms. April, Ms. Corie, Mrs. Corn, Ms. Lori and Mrs. Theriac) will be on Thursday, May 26th. No School for Preprimary classes on conference day. Students who have AM and/or PM care in their program may attend their regular hours for daycare activities. Look for an email in the coming weeks from your child’s teacher regarding how to sign up.

Field Trip on the last day of school (May 27th) – Ms. April, Ms. Corie, Mrs. Corn, Ms. Lori and Mrs. Theriac classes. All children need to be at Montessori by 8:45 and wearing their Montessori t-shirts.  

Last Day of School Dismissal (May 27th) – Preprimary Classes will dismiss at 11:45 and Mr. R’s class will dismiss at 12:15. If your child has PM care in his/her program, daycare/lunch will start at 11:45.

Montessori will be totally closed, no school or daycare, Memorial Day Week: May 30th-June 3rd.

School Play Tickets –

  • Play tickets will go on sale, here at Montessori, tomorrow, Tuesday, March 29th from 7:00-9:15 AM. A line forms outside the East front entrance, but we do not run out of seats.
  • Car line – tickets can be purchased after your child has been dropped off.
  • Seats must be bought in advance. The cost is $6 for the lower level and $10 for the balcony.
  • Tickets may only be purchased for your family members (and your guests). If you are buying for another Montessori family, you will need to complete your purchase and then get back in line to complete the second purchase for another family.
  • We will have a chart of where your child will be standing on the stage to help you choose the seat that is right for your family.
  • If a child cannot sit comfortably on your lap for two hours, they will need their own seat/ticket. The play is geared for elementary age children and up.
  • We do not recommend brining infants or toddlers due to the confines of the seating, the difficulty getting in/out and the length of the program. We record the program for later digital & DVD sales. Crying children are difficult to record over.
  • If you need wheelchair access, please let the office know before Tuesday, March 29th.

What kind of things are auctioned?

Auction Items – Current live and silent auction items include Thomas Rhett tickets, Disney on Ice, a $3,000 lighting package from Aching Acres Landscaping, a 3-night stay at a Gulf Coast beach access accommodation, Lunch with Mayor Winnecke, Tickets to Disney on Ice at the Ford Center, fitness packages, fun baskets for kids of all ages, and of course, the Montessori class quilts!
