In addition to a gift card for each member of the staff, PTO is also providing each classroom with $500 to spend as they wish on their classroom!

Things to look for in May –

Mr. R’s Parent/Teacher Conferences will be Friday, May 20^th. No School on conference day for Mr. R’s class, daycare for students with AM and/or PM care in their program. Mr. R will send an email regarding online signups.

Parent/Teacher Conferences for all of the Preprimary classes (Ms. April, Ms. Corie, Mrs. Corn, Ms. Lori and Mrs. Theriac) will be on Thursday, May 26^th. No School for Preprimary classes on conference day. Students who have AM and/or PM care in their program may attend their regular hours for daycare activities. Look for an email in the coming weeks from your child’s teacher regarding how to sign up.

Field Trip on the last day of school (May 27^th) – Ms. April, Ms. Corie, Mrs. Corn, Ms. Lori and Mrs. Theriac classes. All children need to be at Montessori by 8:45 and wearing their Montessori t-shirts.  

Last Day of School Dismissal (May 27^th) – Preprimary Classes will dismiss at 11:45 and Mr. R’s class will dismiss at 12:15. If your child has PM care in his/her program, daycare/lunch will start at 11:45.

Montessori will be totally closed, no school or daycare, Memorial Day Week: May 30^th-June 3^rd.

Play Photos are in and are ready to pick up in the front office.

DVD and Digital Recordings of the play can be ordered in the front office for $20.00.

Dress Rehearsal for Play – Thursday, April 21^st 2022 from 3:00-6:15 PM.

• This is the last day to purchase play tickets. Tickets are available for purchase at Montessori in the front office, in the morning only.
• No lunchboxes on dress rehearsal day. Please send a totally disposable lunch.

Annual School Play – Friday, April 22^nd 2022 @ 7:00 PM.

• Reminder to all PM Care Parents – The school closes at 5:00 PM on Friday.
• Children should be dropped off between 6:15-6:30 PM. 

Montessori Summer Program – Registration forms for PrePrimary students are due (along with swimming and field trip fees) by this Friday, April 22^nd.

The program will be available for any student who is enrolled in the current PrePrimary school year, including Kindergarteners. Tuition will remain the same for the two 4-week summer sessions. Children will go on field trips and participate in swim lessons once a week.

Session One – June 6^th through July 1^st                       Session Two – July 5^th through July 29^th

Personal Ad for Play Program –

• If you would like to put a short personal ad to your child in the program, the cost is $3.00 per ad, limited to 100 characters including spaces. Forms are available and went home in your child’s bag today.

Play Program Ads –

• If you are interested in helping to underwrite the cost of the play by placing an ad, please let Kristi know. We’ll be gathering ads until Friday, April 8^th.

$75 for a black and white ½ page ad – 5 ½ x 4 ¼

$125 for a black and white full-page ad – 5 ½ x 8 ½

$150 for a black and white OR color full page ad on the inside front/back, outside back or center page of the program.

Annual School Play – Friday, April 22 2022 @ 7:00PM

Play Picture Order forms went home today. We will be taking pictures of each child in his/her costume the week after spring break. This is not a fundraiser, but an opportunity for you to have your child’s picture in costume. The night of the play, there usually is not an ideal time to get a picture with a good view of your child.

Mrs. Corn, Ms. April and Ms. Lori will be on Wednesday, March 30^th.

Mrs. Theriac, Ms. Corie and Mr. R will be on Thursday, March 31^st.

School Play Tickets –

• Play tickets will go on sale, here at Montessori, Tuesday, March 29^th at 7:00 AM (The Tuesday after Spring Break). A line forms outside the building, but we do not run out of seats.
• Seats must be bought in advance. The cost is $6 for the lower level and $10 for the balcony.
• Tickets may only be purchased for your family members (and your guests). If you are buying for another Montessori family, you will need to complete your purchase and then get back in line to complete the second purchase for another family.
• We will have a chart of where your child will be standing on the stage to help you choose the seat that is right for your family.
• If a child cannot sit comfortably on your lap for two hours, they will need their own seat/ticket. The play is geared for elementary age children and up.
• We do not recommend brining infants or toddlers due to the confines of the seating, the difficulty getting in/out and the length of the program. We record the program for later DVD sales. Crying children are difficult to record over.
• If you need wheelchair access, please let the office know before Tuesday, March 29^th.

Montessoiree 2022 – Thank you to everyone who was able to attend or participate online!!

Silent auction items can be picked up in the office for those who were not in attendance.

Soiree Baskets/Containers – If you won the bid on a basket or special container and want to recycle it, please send it in to the office and we’ll use it again next year!

EZ School lunch reminder – Please remember to sign your child up for March lunches. Tomorrow is March 1^st and many students are not signed up for lunch. If your child brings a lunchbox, the “lunchbox” option needs to be selected.

Things to look for in March –

Night School is this Thursday, March 3^rd – Night School is the opportunity for you to see what your child does each day at school. Your child (with the guidance of the teacher) will have selected a sample of the works they want to demonstrate for you the evening of Night School.

• There will be two sessions: 5:30-6:15 or 6:30-7:15.
• Reservations are required. Teachers sent an email/posted on their blogs regarding how to sign up.
• Montessori siblings should be signed up for the same session.
• Up to two adults per family; space is extremely limited.

Spring Clean up day will be Saturday, March 12^th from 8:00AM-11:00AM. If you can help, please email Kristi at: kgaultmontessori@gmail.com.

We’d be happy to have you for all or just part of the time. This will be an adult only activity.

Daylight Savings begins Sunday, March 13^th 2022. The time will spring forward 1 hour Sunday morning.

Sugar Bush Social – In the past, the Elementary class hosted a Sugar Bush Social with a little help from our families. If you have a maple tree(s) in your yard and are willing to “tap” the sap, we can provide the tubes, jug(s) and simple instructions…just let us know by responding to this email! This will begin to happen over the next couple of weeks. More info to come.
